Special Process Quality Engineer

Our client, a leading aerospace manufacturer in Derby are looking for a Special Process Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of heat treatments and/or NDT with knowledge of quality processes.

Job Description

• Manage the NDT/heat treatment processes and calibration
• Maintain and improve quality systems to meet AS9100, ISO14001, NADCAP and customer requirements
• Drive continuous improvement and zero-defect culture through audits, KPIs, Walk the Floor routines, and lean initiatives
• Support manufacturing and NPI by identifying, resolving, and preventing quality issues using robust control tools (PFMEA, PPAP)
• Collaborate with and develop teams to achieve quality, cost and delivery

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

• Strong experience of heat treatments and/or NDT – FPI/DPI
• Knowledge/experience with auditing
