Job Description
- Perform online programming directly at the CNC machine (essential)
- Program and operate Mazatrol-controlled lathes (Mazatrol experience preferred; training available for strong programmers)
- Operate Haas CNC lathes as required
- Produce high-precision components following work instructions and SOPs
- Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet drawing specifications
- Complete all job documentation accurately and submit to QA for sign-off
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and safe working practices
- Support additional machining tasks within your competency as needed
Experience/ Qualification
- Time-served machinist
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC Turning
- Online programming capability is essential
- Mazatrol programming/operating experience preferred
- Candidates with other CNC programming experience will still be considered; Mazatrol training can be provided
- Haas experience desirable
- Heidenhain & Fanuc experience beneficial but not essential
- Manual turning skills and competent use of measurement equipment (Verniers, Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Shadow Graphs)
- Demonstrated competency across a range of machining techniques
- Experience machining ceramics such as Boron Nitride is desirable
