Fabricator Welder
Are you an experienced Fabricator Welder looking for a new role? Do you have a strong background in medium to heavy engineering and fabrication, with the ability to work from technical drawings and produce high-quality welds? If so, this opportunity could be ideal for you.
A well-established and successful family-owned engineering and fabrication business is seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join their team. The successful candidate will have experience working with mild steel structures, predominantly using MIG welding, and be confident working on varied projects including small batch and one-off fabrications.

Job Description
• Fabricate mild steel structures to customer designs
• Carry out MIG welding to a high standard
• Work from and interpret technical engineering drawings and standards
• Undertake fabrication processes including shearing, pressing, and rolling
• Perform marking out, bench drilling, and assembly work
• Carry out TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminium (where applicable)
• Operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with general workshop duties as required
• Opportunity to undertake forklift operation (training provided)

Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Welder / Fabricator
• Strong experience in MIG welding
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Experience within a fabrication or heavy engineering environment
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic fabrication skills including marking out, drilling, and assembly
• Fluent English communication skills
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
Desirable Experience / Skills
• TIG welding experience (stainless steel and aluminium)
• Experience with shearing, pressing, and rolling machinery
• Forklift experience (training can be provided)
• Coded Welding Certificate
