I’m supporting a well-established engineering and manufacturing business that, due to continued growth across their Rugby-based business units, is looking to appoint an experienced Tendering Lead. This is a key commercial role, supporting the Sales Team and Business Units in delivering high-quality, competitive tenders and quotations within a fast-paced engineering environment.
As the Tendering Lead, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end tendering process, coordinating technical, commercial, and financial inputs to ensure bids are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time. You’ll work closely with Sales, Business Managers, and Project Teams, playing a pivotal role in improving bid quality, win rates, and commercial performance.

Job Description
- Lead and manage tenders and quotations from bid / no-bid decision through to final submission.
- Coordinate technical, commercial, and financial inputs, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place.
- Support pricing strategies using market insight, historical data, and bid performance metrics.
- Ensure all tenders are accurate, professional, compliant, and submitted within agreed deadlines.
- Identify, assess, and communicate commercial, financial, and technical risks within bids.
- Maintain CRM systems and tender reporting to support forecasting and pipeline visibility and ensure effective handover of successful tenders to Project Teams.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Proven experience in tendering, bid management, or commercial support within an engineering or industrial environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- High level of commercial awareness, including contract terms and conditions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Graduate, HND/HNC, or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of rotating machines or related engineering services (desirable).
