Autonomous, Field-Based Role
We are recruiting for a Stores Controller to join a well-established engineering and rail support business covering the Midlands region, including Doncaster, Rugby, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, and surrounding areas.
This is a varied and hands-on position ideal for someone with a stores, warehouse, stock control, or asset management background who enjoys a mobile role with a high level of autonomy. You’ll be responsible for supporting multiple satellite locations, managing stock movements, and ensuring accurate inventory control across the operation.
The Role
Interviews will consist of an initial Teams interview followed by a face-to-face meeting, with the business looking to hire during June / July.

The Role
- Manage stock levels and stores operations across multiple locations
- Coordinate stock movements between depots, suppliers, and maintenance sites
- Carry out stock checks, audits, and discrepancy investigations
- Update and maintain records on the asset management system
- Support engineering and operational teams with parts and stock requirements
- Travel between sites as required, with some work-from-home flexibility for system updates and administration
- Ensure stores procedures are followed consistently across all locations
- Previous experience within stores, warehouse, stock control, or asset management
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
