We’re currently looking for a Site Manager to join a leading organisation specialising in the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of hydro generators. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the operational leader, ensuring the successful delivery of hydro site projects from start to finish while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities of Site Manager:
  • Lead Hydro Site Works: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring engineering plans, project milestones, and quality control measures are met. Manage resources and materials effectively.

  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for contractors, engineers, commissioning teams, and clients. Take ownership of site communications and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Health & Safety Champion: Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, environmental permits, and company procedures.

  • Team Development: Provide hands-on training and coaching to site personnel, promoting operational competence, safety awareness, and technical skills.

  • Project Cost & Risk Management: Monitor project budgets, assess risks, and proactively seek ways to improve efficiency and manage project timelines.

  • Quotations & Estimates: Assist in generating accurate project quotations by assessing work scope, identifying risks, and advising on timescales.

  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, looking for opportunities to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For, Site Manager:
  • Proven Experience: A strong background working in the Hydro Project industry, ideally with demonstrable experience in the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of hydro generators.

  • Relevant Qualifications: BTEC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Financial Awareness: Understanding of project financials and their impact on project success.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, teams, and stakeholders.

  • Organised & Driven: Strong organisational skills with a drive to succeed, improve efficiencies, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Team Player & Leader: Able to lead and motivate a team while also working independently when needed.

  • Flexibility: Prepared to travel and work both in the UK and internationally, adapting to diverse environments.

  • Customer-Focused: A dedication to delivering outstanding customer service and fostering long-term relationships.
