The Role
We are seeking an experienced Site HSE Advisor to support the safe delivery of a major mechanical installation project within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HSE support to site management, supervisors and workforce.
- Monitor compliance with site rules, permits, RAMS and company procedures.
- Carry out workplace inspections, audits and safety tours.
- Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Produce inspection and audit reports, including photographic evidence where required.
- Support the management of the Permit to Work system.
- Maintain HSE records and documentation.
- Review subcontractor HSE documentation prior to mobilisation.
- Promote positive safety behaviours and high HSE standards across site.
- Minimum 5 years' HSE experience within construction, engineering, industrial, energy, petrochemical, pharmaceutical or similar sectors.
- NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Experience with Permit to Work systems, RAMS, audits and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma.
- IOSH membership (Tech IOSH, Cert IOSH or equivalent).
- CSCS, CCNSG Safety Passport or similar.
- Experience on large-scale mechanical, industrial or energy projects.
- Experience delivering toolbox talks and behavioural safety initiatives.
- Outside IR35
- Approx. 4-month duration
