Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support assembly process quality activities across manufacturing operations
- Drive product-focused quality improvements, ensuring customer and regulatory requirements are consistently met
- Act as the subject matter expert for IATF 16949 standards, supporting audits and maintaining compliance
- Manage and resolve internal and external non-conformances using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis)
- Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve process capability and reduce defects
- Support APQP activities, PPAP submissions, and control plan development
- Analyse quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across assembly processes
- Liaise directly with automotive customers regarding quality performance and corrective actions
- Proven experience in a Senior Quality Engineer role within automotive manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Demonstrated experience within assembly/manufacturing process quality rather than purely QA-focused roles
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive root cause investigations to completion
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
