Job Description
- Program and operate CMM equipment to inspect composite and metallic components
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials, in-process parts and finished products
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models and specifications
- Produce inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records
- Support Gauge R&R studies and capability assessments
- Create FAIR documentation and supporting quality packs
- Generate documentation required for Certificates of Conformity (CoC)
- Support MRB activities and non-conformance investigations
- Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within quality processes
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001 and customer quality requirements
Quality Inspector
Essential Skills, Qualification & Experience
- Experience working within a manufacturing quality environment
- Hands-on CMM programming and operation experience
- Knowledge of PCDMIS or similar CMM software
- Strong dimensional inspection skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience using inspection equipment such as callipers, micrometres and gauges
- Understanding of non-conformance processes and MRB activities
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Composite manufacturing experience
- Aerospace or defence industry experience
- Familiarity with CAD models and inspection planning
