We are currently recruiting on behalf of a market-leading engineering business, operating at the forefront of the aerospace and automotive sectors, for a skilled and motivated Quality Technician to join their growing quality team based in Leicester (LE19).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Technician with a strong background in manual inspection to secure a long-term role within a progressive and technically advanced environment.

The Role – Quality Technician: As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring components meet strict quality standards through hands-on inspection and measurement techniques. You’ll play a critical role in supporting production and engineering teams by identifying, reporting, and resolving quality issues at source.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual inspections using tools such as verniers, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges
- Inspect components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
- Complete detailed inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
- Carry out First Article Inspections (FAI) and support PPAP documentation (where applicable)
- Maintain calibration records and ensure inspection equipment is in working condition
- Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
- Proven experience as a Quality Technician within the aerospace or automotive industry
- Strong understanding of manual inspection methods and dimensional measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances
- Good communication and reporting skills
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 or IATF16949 standards is highly desirable
