Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturer operating within a precision-driven environment, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive quality professional with experience in aerospace, defence, MOD or other verified industries to take ownership of product and process quality across the full lifecycle.
You will play a key role in maintaining compliance to industry standards, driving continuous improvement, supporting customer and supplier quality activities, and ensuring robust quality assurance across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Quality Assurance activities throughout the manufacturing process.
- Manage and produce PPAP documentation and facilitate APQP processes for new product introductions.
- Drive effective problem-solving using 8D, 5 Whys, RCA, and other structured methodologies.
- Manage NCR processes, ensuring timely resolution, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis.
- Support internal and external audits to AS9100 / ISO9001 standards.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving processes, and enhancing product quality.
- Support inspection, verification, and testing activities when required.
- Produce accurate quality reports and maintain all associated documentation.
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within Aerospace, Defence, MOD, Automotive, or precision engineering sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of PPAP, APQP, NCR management, 8D, 5Y, and related quality tools.
- Good understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 standards and regulated industry requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and measurement data.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a continuous improvement mentality.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering or related discipline (desirable).
- Salary up to £48,000 depending on experience
