We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an aerospace manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining world-class quality standards

Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will support production, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with stringent aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.

Job Description
  • Support production by investigating non-conforming products and implementing effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Actively participate in New Product Introduction (NPI), engineering change, and source change activities.
  • Prepare, review, and submit FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation in line with aerospace customer requirements.
  • Lead and support customer and supplier quality investigations, applying root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation including Quality Plans, FMEAs, Control Plans, Procedures, and Inspection Plans.
  • Conduct internal, supplier, and external AS9100 audits and support NADCAP process audits.
  • Deliver quality awareness and process training across production and engineering teams.
  • Analyse quality data to identify trends and develop improvement initiatives.
  • Manage product and process approvals and maintain compliance with all aerospace standards and customer specifications.
  • Support and coordinate 3rd party and customer audits.
 

Quality Engineer
Experience & Skills Required:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within the aerospace or precision engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 and NADCAP quality management systems.
  • Hands-on experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and FMEAs.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis, corrective actions (8D, 5 Whys), and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Internal and/or supplier audit experience; auditing qualifications desirable
