The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and customer requirements in a fast-paced production environment.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join a leading advanced manufacturing business in Derby. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and customer requirements in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the quality management system in line with ISO9001 and relevant industry standards.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits, promoting compliance and best practices across the supply chain.
- Support production teams with quality control activities, including in-process and final product inspections.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including control plans, inspection records, and reports.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure product conformity.
- Analyse quality performance data and recommend improvements to processes, tools, and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards and compliance requirements.
- HND/Degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of ISO9001 quality standards and auditing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with precision manufacturing processes or tooling (desirable).
- Skilled in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods such as 8D, FMEA, and Lean.
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
