Owen Daniels are a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Redditch who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their established team. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career progression within a dynamic and forward-thinking company supplying into the Aerospace and Automotive sectors.
This role would suit a hands-on Quality professional with experience across APQP, 8D problem solving, 5 Why, PPAP, and root cause analysis, who is confident on the shop floor and has worked to 9001 standard.

This role would suit a hands-on Quality professional with experience across APQP, 8D problem solving, 5 Why, PPAP, and root cause analysis, who is confident on the shop floor and has worked to 9001 standard.
The Role:
- Supporting Quality activities across Aerospace and Automotive projects
- Leading and participating in problem-solving activities (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.)
- Liaising with internal departments and customers to resolve quality concerns
- Reviewing and updating control plans, FMEAs, and standard operating procedures
- Supporting internal and external audits (AS9100, IATF 16949)
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions
- Generating and reviewing PPAP and FAIR documentation
- Driving continuous improvement and supporting the Quality Manager
- Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in Aerospace and/or Automotive sectors
- Strong understanding of ISO9001, AS9100, and IATF 16949
- Practical experience with 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, and PPAP
- Confident in a hands-on, shop-floor-focused environment
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and use measurement equipment
