Owen Daniels are supporting a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Birmingham, isnseeking a QHSE Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional to play a key role in maintaining and improving standards across Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role Reporting into the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and developing the company’s QHSE strategy, with a strong emphasis on Quality Management Systems aligned to IATF standards. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and promote a positive safety and quality culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and promote a positive safety and quality culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, manage and continuously improve the IATF-compliant Quality Management System
- Lead and support internal and external audits, including customer and certification audits
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE and environmental legislation
- Investigate non-conformances, incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions
- Support risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work
- Deliver QHSE training and promote best practice across the business
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis tools
- Proven experience in a QHSE or Quality Engineer role within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience of IATF 16949 QMS
- Good understanding of UK HSE legislation and environmental standards
- Internal Auditor qualification (desirable)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented and improvement-driven mindset
- Salary up to £38,000, depending on experience
