Production Operative

Are you a Production Operative looking for a new role? Our client is a well‑established manufacturer of kitchens and furniture.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Production Operative, responsible for carrying out hands‑on tasks along the production line with a high level of dexterity. The role involves ensuring products meet specification requirements, operating and troubleshooting production machinery, and carrying out minor repairs where required.

Shifts: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm & 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm (Rotating Weekly)

Role responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day manual tasks according to the current standardised operating procedures
• Checking the quality of the product at each stage. Make adjustments as necessary to produce products that reach customer satisfaction. Reject product outside of specification.
• Complete any daily logs as required
• Ensure clean work areas at all times
• Perform preventative maintenance on production line machinery if required
• Communicate with other operatives from other shifts
• Look for continuous improvement opportunities
• Assist engineers in the repair of machinery if required
• Responsible for inventory control in your area on the line
