Oil and Gas PM - Aberdeen

Project Manager – Oil & Gas Outside IR35 | £500–£800 per day | 12 months + extension
A leading UK engineering organisation delivering complex, high-profile projects across the energy and industrial sectors is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a major long-term oil and gas programme.
With a strong reputation for technical excellence, delivery capability, and engineering standards, this is a key opportunity to take ownership of a flagship, multi-year project—managing delivery across multiple sites and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle delivery from initiation through to completion
• Act as the primary interface with the customer, managing communication, expectations, and reporting
• Drive programme execution across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and site activities
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, and risk to ensure successful delivery
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Projects, Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and SHEQ
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual requirements, and HSE regulations
• Travel regularly between Stockport, Lisburn, and the customer site in Teesside

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the oil and gas sector
• Strong track record delivering complex engineering or EPC-style projects
• Experience managing multi-site projects and cross-functional teams
• Ability to confidently interface with customers and senior stakeholders
• Strong understanding of project controls, risk management, and commercial awareness
• Familiarity with engineering, manufacturing, and installation environments
• Willingness to travel as required across multiple locations
