NDT Level 2 Inspector (FPI) – Days / Nights Available
A specialist engineering business supporting the aerospace and power generation industries is seeking an experienced NDT Level 2 Inspector (FPI) to join its operations team.
The Role
You will carry out Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) activities, ensuring components meet strict industry and quality standards. Responsibilities include interpreting inspection results, performing system checks, supporting junior staff, and developing work instructions in line with approved procedures. You’ll also work closely with engineering and quality teams to maintain compliance and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform FPI (Liquid Penetrant Testing) inspections
- Interpret and evaluate results for acceptance/rejection
- Set up and standardise NDT equipment
- Conduct system performance checks to required standards
- Support and guide Level 1 technicians/trainees
- Develop and contribute to inspection techniques and work instructions
- EN4179/NAS410 Level 2 Certification in Liquid Penetrant Testing
- Strong understanding of NDT processes, standards, and limitations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical procedures
- Experience within aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
- Good organisational and communication skills
- 6:00am – 6:00pm
- Rotating shift pattern
