Due to continued growth and success, my client requires 2 x Electro-Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to join their business on a permanent employment basis, based at their site near Cheltenham.
As the Mechanical Fitter / Electro-Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and automation machinery, as well as the installation of special purpose machinery and associated control systems on customer sites which will be across Europe, USA and Canada.

As the Mechanical Fitter / Electro-Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and automation machinery, as well as the installation of special purpose machinery and associated control systems on customer sites which will be across Europe, USA and Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct the assembly and installation of industrial machinery and conveyors
- Use general hand tools and power tools for assembly and fitting
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and able to follow written instructions
- Working in hygienic environments and to health and safety requirements
- Previous experience of working with electric, pneumatic systems and valves
- Travel to client sites in the US and Canada. Travel is expected around 5 times a year for 2 to 3 weeks at a time.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Experience gained within a Mechanical Assembly and/or Electromechanical Assembly role
- Experience of mid-size mechanical assemblies
- Good use of hand tools and power tools, with eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Open to learning new skills such as electrical control systems
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home – typically up to 2 weeks at a time
- Full UK driving licence
- Be able to enter the USA and Canada with no restriction.
