The Role
The role involves 4 main areas:
- CAD Drawing - liaising with customers and our production team to generate 3D models of the required fuel bladders and associated fuel systems using Solidworks, from which the fuel bladder can be manufactured. The role will also involve producing models from 3D scan and point data.
- CAM/CNC Programming – CAM programming to produce cut files for the company’s CNC mill, lathe and material cutting machine (assistance with learning specific machines will be provided)
- Product Design - Design of new products across both of the companies' product areas (safety harnesses and flexible fuel bladders) and any future product areas.
- Process Improvement - assisting the implementation of new machinery and processes to improve productivity and output
- have a keen interest in Motorsport and High Tech Engineering
- have at least 3 years experience of working in a mechanical design role
- have an in-depth knowledge of Solidworks
- have a keen eye for design and attention to detail
- are reliable, highly self-motivated and organised
- are able to prioritise your time to meet agreed deadlines
- are passionate about emerging 3D technologies
- have good verbal and written English skills and are able to communicate well with clients and colleagues
- have the right to work permanently in the UK
