Owen Daniels are recruiting on behalf of a leading aerospace manufacturer that is seeking an experienced Master Production Scheduler to oversee end-to-end materials, planning, and logistics operations at their Redditch site. This is a key leadership role that would suit a candidate with a strong background in master scheduling, production planning, SIOP, or materials management within a complex engineering or manufacturing environment.

The Role of Master Production Scheduler:

As the Material Operations Manager, you will take ownership of material availability, production scheduling, and supply chain performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of manufacturing operations. You will lead and develop the materials and logistics teams while implementing best-practice planning processes and driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all material planning, scheduling, and logistics activities
  • Manage and optimise MRP, inventory control, and production schedules
  • Drive an effective and structured SIOP process
  • Improve supply chain performance, material flow, and delivery reliability
  • Collaborate closely with production, procurement, engineering, and quality departments
  • Implement KPIs, planning tools, and standard work to enhance operational performance
  • Develop and mentor the materials and logistics team
  • Support strategic projects focused on efficiency, cost control, and customer delivery
About You:
  • Strong background in master scheduling, materials management, or planning management
  • Demonstrated experience in SIOP/S&OP within a manufacturing environment
  • Aerospace, defence, or automotive experience is highly desirable
  • Skilled in MRP/ERP systems with the ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Proven leadership capability with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
