Lead Healthcare Design Engineer – Key responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Wiring and Planning Engineers to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high performance standards.
- Manage workload allocation, resource planning and project priorities to ensure all work is delivered on time, within scope and to the required quality standards.
- Oversee the creation, review and approval of wiring schematics, software and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing robust quality assurance, document control and 3D design processes across the department.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure effective project delivery, seamless workflow integration and a customer-focused approach to design and planning activities.
Lead Healthcare Design Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing technical engineering, design or planning teams within a fast-paced project environment.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, system design principles and relevant standards, including BS 7671, ISO 19650 and IEC/BS EN 60601.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar, with experience producing and reviewing technical drawings and documentation.
- Excellent organisational and resource management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and manage multiple projects effectively.
