Lead Engineer
Job Description:

• Leading design and development teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Looking at initial concept layouts through to analysis of designs including loading, thermal and tolerancing
• Working closely with manufacturing/production engineering in ensuring the optimum assembly processes are used with the least manufacturing restraints. Including looking into tooling choices for the project
• Liaising with customers and ensuring deliverables are being met in comparison to the RFQ/Gateway deliverables
• Generating forecasted budgets for each project and manage planned vs actual spend

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Degree qualified or equivalent in relevant engineering disciplines
• Must have experience and understanding of GD&T and technical knowledge of design processes
• Experience managing direct reports
• Confident managing projects within a fast paced environment (automotive is advantageous)
