LOCATION: High Wycombe
SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

I’m currently working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to appoint a Key Account Manager to support the continued growth and development of key customer accounts.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes who also enjoys the commercial and customer-facing side of the role.

The position is not a pure Business Development role the business is looking for someone capable of understanding engineering requirements, interpreting technical drawings/specifications, and acting as the key interface between customers and internal engineering/manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing and developing key customer accounts within a technical manufacturing environment
  • Building long-term relationships with customers through regular meetings and onsite visits
  • Acting as the main point of contact for technical and commercial discussions
  • Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
  • Supporting NPI projects and managing programmes through production
  • Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Operations teams
  • Supporting quotations, timelines, delivery expectations, and project updates
  • Identifying opportunities for account growth and additional business within existing customers
  • Attending customer sites, supplier meetings, and industry events where required
  • Providing a high level of customer service and technical support throughout the project lifecycle
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous experience within Key Account Management, Technical Sales, Product Management, NPI, Programme Management, or a similar customer-facing engineering role
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering environments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage customer expectations effectively
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Aerospace industry experience highly desirable
