Hours: 39 hours per week

The Role We are looking for a General Operative to join the production team in Lisburn.
Working as part of a busy manufacturing environment, you will support the production team with the preparation, assembly and despatch of containerised gas engine sets.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards and is comfortable working in a busy production environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the production team with the manufacture and preparation of containerised gas engine sets.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the shop floor and panel shop.
• Keep work areas clean, organised and free from waste and unnecessary materials.
• Return tools, cables and equipment to the appropriate locations after use.
• Clean and paint engine sets where required prior to despatch.
• Bale and dispose of cardboard and other waste appropriately.
• Unload deliveries using a forklift.
• Move and deliver materials and equipment to the shop floor.
• Assist the Production Foreperson and Team Leaders with production-related tasks and issues.
• Support other departments where required.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant method statements and risk assessments.
• Maintain high standards of quality throughout all work.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Help ensure production and despatch deadlines are achieved.
• Participate fully as part of the wider manufacturing team.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties required by management.
• Contribute to the company's ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

About You The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a busy production or manufacturing environment.
• Manual handling training.
• A valid forklift licence.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
• A strong focus on achieving results and maintaining high standards.
• A positive, hands-on approach to work.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• The willingness to undertake any necessary in-house training.

A full current driving licence is also required where applicable to the role.
