We are working with a growing and well-backed business within the energy sector, specialising in combined heat and power (CHP) systems. Due to continued expansion and increasing demand, they are now looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join their UK-wide engineering team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on micro CHP systems—compact, boiler-sized units typically installed in hotels, residential developments, and commercial buildings. These systems generate both heat and electricity from a single fuel source, offering a modern and efficient energy solution.
The role will involve installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault finding on these systems across a variety of customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of micro CHP systems
- Diagnose faults and perform corrective repairs on mechanical and electrical components
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Support commissioning of new CHP installations
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Provide technical support to customers on-site
- Participate in a call-out rota to support breakdowns where required
- Experience working on engines, generators, CHP systems, or similar equipment
- Background in sectors such as automotive, HGV, plant, rail, marine, or power generation
- Strong mechanical skills with a basic understanding of electrical systems
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
