Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Car (Social use) + Benefits 

Hours: 40 hours per week – Flex Time

Location: Manchester / UK Wide Travel


I’m currently representing a leading Engineering company based in Manchester, supplying innovative technology to the water utilities industry across the UK and Europe. They’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to provide servicing, fault-find and repair on electro-mechanical systems.

 
Field Service Engineer – Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for advanced water instruments in lab and field settings, mainly across the UK
• Service, fault-find and repair of electronic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Written log reports for tracebility purposes.
• Meet customer requirements and provide excellent customer service. 
• Role is 80% field-based, requiring independence, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills.

 

Field Service Engineer - Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record of electronic and mechanical engineering, evidenced through practical experience and/or academic qualifications.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, essential for a customer-facing role.
• Adaptable and flexible, with an open-minded approach to new ideas.
• Able to relay customer requirements and suggest product improvements effectively.
• Full UK driving licence and valid passport.
• Training in working within ATEX-rated environments or electrical installation would be advantageous.
