The Role
- Operate and support EDM machining processes.
- Assist with the manufacture, maintenance, repair, and modification of production tooling.
- Support tool trials, tooling improvements, and fault finding activities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
- Assist with tool assembly, fitting, and inspection.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
- Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping, and health & safety.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, machining, or toolroom environment.
- Experience operating EDM machinery would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of precision measurement techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
