Design & Drafting Engineer
Job Description

• Leading engineering projects and adapting existing product ranges.
• Overseeing the full design and development process—from concept through to production.
• Driving continuous improvement for products and processes.
• Ensuring all designs comply with national and international safety and performance standards.
• Supporting NPI for standard products and special projects—combining CAD expertise with practical hands-on development.
• Maintaining production documentation and specification libraries.
• Providing technical support across the business and assisting with VAVE initiatives.
• Supporting the General Manager with engineering and technical tasks as needed.

Design & Drafting Engineer
Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in product design, ideally in the lighting or electrical sector.
• Proficient in 3D and 2D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
• Knowledge of design for manufacture, including casting, moulding, and extrusion processes
• Confident producing prototypes—sheet metal work, foam modelling, soldering, bench work, and other development tasks.
• Experience with document management systems (e.g., Autodesk Vault).
• Impeccable attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
