The Role
Working within a team of three programmers, you will be responsible for creating CNC programs, supporting production, and working closely with machine operators to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing CNC programs for milling and turning components
- Programming and supporting 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machines, including DMG Mori DMU and Mazak equipment
- Using CAD/CAM software (currently AlphaCAM, with potential future migration to Hypermill)
- Providing technical support to approximately 30 machine operators
- Interpreting engineering drawings and component specifications
- Optimising machining processes and cycle times
- Troubleshooting production and programming issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the shop floor
- Minimum 5 years' CNC programming experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC milling and/or turning processes
- Experience programming 3, 4 and 5-axis machines
- CAD/CAM experience (AlphaCAM, Hypermill or similar packages considered)
- Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to manufacturing support

- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
