CHP Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer sites across the UK to perform routine servicing and first-response breakdowns on CHP units ranging from 30kW to 500kW.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance work, including occasional overnight stays depending on site location.
- Provide detailed site reports, highlighting necessary actions and opportunities for improvement.
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure clear communication and effective service delivery.
- Assist with internal and customer training where required, promoting safe and effective use of CHP equipment.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, including completion of site-specific risk assessments.
- Represent the company as a brand ambassador, upholding professionalism and technical expertise.
- Collaborate closely with the wider service and technical support teams to solve complex issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a CHP service engineer or in a similar role within power generation or building services.
- Practical experience with LTHW systems, including pumps, inverter drives, flow rates, delta T, and BMS controls.
- Solid understanding of LV electrical systems, generation equipment, and control panels.
- Familiarity with ComAp, TEM, TPEM, and remote monitoring tools such as Web Supervisor and InteliMonitor.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home when required.
