An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established engineering manufacturer supplying specialist equipment into the aviation, rail, and industrial sectors. We are looking for a driven Sales & Business Development Manager to develop new business opportunities, grow key accounts, and support continued expansion across the North of the UK. This is a customer-facing role suited to someone with strong technical sales experience and the ability to build long-term relationships across engineering and industrial markets. The Role You’ll be responsible for generating and developing sales across a portfolio of specialist engineering products and solutions. The role combines business development, account management, quotations, customer visits, and technical sales support.
You’ll work closely with internal teams including design, production, and senior leadership to deliver projects and maximise commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across target sectors
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Conduct customer visits and build strong relationships
- Prepare and follow up quotations and tenders
- Respond to sales enquiries and customer requirements
- Support exhibitions, product demonstrations, and presentations
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales reporting information
- Liaise with engineering and production teams on customer projects
- Support achievement of sales and profit targets
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development
- Background within engineering, manufacturing, aviation, rail, or industrial sectors
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Comfortable managing customer visits and presentations
- Commercially driven with the ability to identify opportunities
- Self-motivated and organised with good reporting skills
