💷 Salary: Up to £45,000 (DOE, slight flexibility)

Join a global leader in complex mechanical equipment as we strengthen our automation capability at our Bridgwater site. We’re looking for a hands-on Automation Project Engineer to deliver automation projects and optimise existing manufacturing equipment.

🔧 About the Role:

• Deliver automation projects from scope and specification through to commissioning and handover
  
  
• Work with suppliers to introduce new automated equipment and production capability
  
  
• Support, upgrade, and fault-find on legacy machinery including presses, CNC machines, ovens, and robotics
  
  
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and optimise current equipment performance
  
  
• Improve data collection from semi-automated equipment
  
  
• 50% new projects | 50% existing equipment improvement
  
  

🎯 What We’re Looking For:

• HNC / HND in Electrical, Automation or related Engineering discipline
  
  
• PLC experience (Siemens TIA Portal desirable, any PLC platform considered)
  
  
• Strong fault-finding and hands-on automation experience in manufacturing
  
  
• Experience delivering projects across the full lifecycle
  
  
• Confident working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
