A leading UK aerospace company specialising in chemical propulsion and thruster technology for space applications is seeking an Analysis Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to structural and thermal analysis activities across advanced propulsion systems, while working with major spacecraft manufacturers.

Analysis Engineer
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality structural and thermal analysis (FE/FEA) including linear, dynamic and thermal cases
  • Build, run and validate FE models/tests, interpret results against requirements, and generate analysis reports
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards, identify weaknesses, and optimise performance to prevent failures
  • Work cross-functionally with design, systems and engineering teams to resolve structural/thermal issues
  • Present findings at customer reviews (PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, TRBs, MRRs) and contribute to problem-solving beyond simulation

Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with FE/FEA analysis of mechanical systems/products (thermal, dynamic, linear static)
  • Proficiency in FEA tools (ideally ANSYS or NASTRAN; other packages considered) and ability to justify methods
  • Strong problem-solving ability with willingness to liaise with internal teams/customers to resolve issues
  • Degree (Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related) preferred, or equivalent apprenticeship/experience
  • Background in a highly regulated industry (e.g. aerospace, motorsport, nuclear); pressurised components/heat exchangers experience desirable
