AirFlow Rig Operator

Airflow Rig Operator 
Alcester
Permanent
Monday-Wednesday 4:30pm-2:30am
Thursday 4:30pm-1:30am
39 hours per week

They test the aerodynamic capabilities and cooling paths of critical turbine engine parts or turbochargers. These parts feature tiny, laser-drilled cooling holes that must allow a precise volume of air to pass through to prevent the engine from melting during flight.
 
Airflow Rig Operator 
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Loading aerospace or turbine components onto custom air-testing fixtures.
• Running the airflow rig to measure air volume, pressure drop, and flow resistance.
• Verifying serial numbers and accurately logging quality assurance paperwork.
• Comparing machine readings against strict blueprint engineering specifications
• Experience on computers
