The greens of Leatherhead Golf Club played host once again to a remarkable day of camaraderie, competition, and charity. Partnered with Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC), the annual Charity Golf Day brought together 72 golfers, including FAC members, clients, and customers - all in support of an extraordinary cause: Aerobility.

Aerobility is a UK charity that changes lives by providing the disabled community access to the magic and wonder of flight. Every penny raised during the day will help fund adapted aircraft, flying lessons, and outreach programs that make aviation accessible to all.

The day began with a warm welcome in the clubhouse, where guests were greeted with tea, coffee, and breakfast rolls. Spirits were high as players made their way to the course for a 9:30 am shotgun start, with sunshine and blue skies promising perfect golfing conditions.

On the course, players competed in a variety of challenges, including Longest Drive, Nearest the Pin, and the all-important team competition. Although a healthy sense of competition was in the air, the atmosphere remained relaxed and welcoming, with everyone ultimately coming together to support a great cause.

After completing 18 holes, golfers gathered outside for a delicious BBQ and well-earned refreshments. The afternoon continued with a prize-giving ceremony, silent auction, and raffle, made possible by the generous donations of our event sponsors.

Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of all involved, the event raised an outstanding £4,589.82  for Aerobility! Whether walking away with a trophy or simply enjoying the company and sunshine, we would like to thank everyone who made the day possible. From our generous sponsors to the players and the team who brought it all together, your support has made a real difference. We look forward to continuing our support for Aerobility at future events.
