Employee Satisfaction surveys are a great way to give your team a voice and increase engagement. Sammy our HR manager, distributes employee satisfaction surveys annually and has advised of the following benefits:

  • Measure employee engagement
  • Give employees a voice
  • Increase employee engagement
  • Direct organizational growth
  • Benchmark results
  • Improved employee safety
  • Uncover employee weaknesses
  • Employee knowledge gaps
  • Happier employees
  • Increased employee satisfaction
  • Lower absenteeism
  • Higher retention
  • Increased employee loyalty
  • Improved customer service

Certain times in your organization’s annual cycle are a good fit for presenting survey results:

  • The annual report, when company results are released, often needs to include fresh survey data. You’ll need to submit your data before the copy deadline.
  • Executive meetings are usually held monthly or quarterly. Compile your results in advance of those to secure a feedback presentation slot.
  • A quieter time of year is best for people to absorb survey results. Performance review time, Christmas, and year-end are usually busy, and analyzing results at these times can seem more like a distraction.
  • Historical survey times can be helpful because of corporate rhythms and habits. If you run a survey at a particular time of year, and it gives useful results, keep it at that time.
  • A three-four month interval gives you time to do the whole learning cycle properly: learn using a survey, thank the staff, plan, do the work, give it time to bed in, tweak as needed, then start again
