Initially look after a new build accommodation block in Guildford running up to July

Job Specification

  • Responsible for supervision of all mechanical operatives on site (direct / Apprentices / sub-contractors / agency)
  • Allocate the workload accordingly, meeting customer deadlines and always maintaining standards and quality of workmanship
  • Leading teams of Plumbers
  • Ensuring health and safety is maintained
  • Organising materials and sub-contractors
  • Toolbox talks
  • Attend site meetings.

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience of commercial and residential, plumbing and heating.
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods
  • Must be able to work independently / interpret drawings
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines
  • Day to day problem solving and answering/resolving any technical queries
  • Completed Apprenticeship with NVQ level 3 in Plumbing OR Heating
  • Must have Gold Level Engineering Services Skills Card
  • Must have SSSTS / SMSTS

  • Gas safe would be an advantage but not essential
  • Good people management and motivational skills
  • The ability to plan ahead, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads
