11 years ago today Owen started the company, and it is still growing and going from strength to strength. Our mission is to set the bar within the recruitment industry by empowering our clients, candidates and employees. We strive to be the employer of choice whilst connecting people and businesses across the UK.

  • Grew to 40+ staff and still looking for business solutions, recruiters and trainee recruiters.
  • Introduced our Non-exec James to support our growth and plans for the future.
  • Created our Business Solution portfolio of problem-solving packages for HR and hiring teams; ir35, payroll services, Total Talent Management, Embedded Talent Partner and compliance support to name just a few.
  • Expanded to double our headcount with talented team members.
  • Grew our benefits packages, offering enhanced pension, parental leave, Gym/Health contributions, Early finish Fridays, flexible working, incentives and more.
  • Shortlisted for engineering recruiter of the year in the UK – for the first award we have entered.
  • Introduced our new website.
  • Our team climbed Snowdon and organised coffee mornings to raise money for Macmillan charity, held their first charity golf day for Epilepsy UK, and also walked and grew their facial hair for Movember. In the last year alone!
  • Became carbon neutral and introduces our #placeacandidateplantatree scheme.
  • Moved offices to help with our growing headcount.

Owens reflection on the last 11 years: “The highlights of the last 11 years have been building a stable business that offers a safe place to work and striving to be an employer of choice through our additional benefits and workplace culture.
I have learned to empower people through trust; give people guidance and allow them to put their own stamp on things. As a CEO you cannot do everything – trust is paramount. My ethos as a CEO is being brutally honest and respectful whilst giving everyone the opportunity to grow and develop. We have built ODC on our values; Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Environmentally focused, Diversity and inclusion.”
