Can interviewers ask personal questions?

Employers / firms have asked candidates inappropriate and potentially illegal questions during an interview, according to research from Hyper Recruitment Solutions (HRS)

The researchers have found that 85% of interviewers have admitted to asking such questions in job interview.

This includes questions such as:

• How old are you? 55%
• Are you planning to start a family? 40%
• Are you fit and healthy? 53%

This is a breach of the law and requires potential employers to treat any candidate fairly.
