Job Description
- Manufacture and repair jigs, fixtures, and tools to tight tolerances
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications
- Operate manual and CNC machines (milling, turning, grinding, etc.)
- Ensure tooling is maintained to aerospace quality standards
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams
- Proactively identify improvements to tooling processes
Qualifications/ Experience
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment (ideally aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering)
- Strong manual machining skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Apprenticeship-trained or equivalent engineering qualification desirable
