Our client are a leading manufacturer providing specialist solutions to a variety of industries such as aerospace, power generation, rail and oil and gas industries. They are looking for Project Manager to assist with moving a production line to a new facility on a 12 month contract.

Scope of role:
- Project Leadership: Own and drive the end-to-end transition plan, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
- Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and contingency strategies.
- Operational Continuity: Minimize disruption to production and customer commitments during the transition.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities adhere to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of complex of the transfer project, ensuring they meet stakeholder requirements, budget constraints, and strategic business objectives. This role will require strong leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen to drive programme success and stakeholder satisfaction.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Programme Management & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end execution of the complex relocation project, ensuring alignment with contractual, financial, and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain programme plans, schedules, and risk management strategies.
- Drive on-time delivery, cost control, and quality assurance across all programme phases
- Develop programme management processes, methodologies and capabilities; maintaining blueprint / work breakdown structures for key project types.
- Lead programme reviews, reporting on progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership and customers.
- Oversee the management of project/programme issues and risks, as well as quality and scope deviations, mitigate or escalate as necessary.
- Manage the resource profile to meet the needs of the business and performance manage as necessary
- Establish and maintain a reliable and concise channel of communications with key internal and external stakeholders, through generation of KPIs, project dashboards and other relevant tools.
- Act as the escalation point of contact for key stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction
- Work closely with internal teams—including engineering, supply chain, operations, and finance—to ensure seamless programme execution.
- Negotiate and manage programme scope, contracts, and change requests in collaboration with commercial teams.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional programme teams.
- Mentor and develop project team members.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing complex relocation or transformation projects in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proficiency in the use of Program management software such as MS Project, Wrike, etc.
- Experience in working in a regulated industry such as Medical or Aerospace is advantageous
- Familiarity with Motion Products or similar industrial technologies is advantageous.
- Provide flexible support and undertake reasonable ad hoc duties, including cross-department tasks and training, as required to maintain operations and customer satisfaction.
