My client is looking for a Power Electronics Design Engineer who is confident in their abilities to research and identify solutions for novel and challenging problems. Looking at powertrain architectures, power distribution systems and working with the design and test of various power supply topologies. Open to both permanent and contract candidates.
Power Electronics Design Engineer
Job Description:
- Creating new designs. From first principle through the development lifecycle through to production release
- Power Supply Design AC-DC, DC-DC
- Working with the following topologies: Phase-Shift Full-Bridge, Resonant LLC Half/Full-Bridge, Flyback, Buck/Boost, 3-Phase Inverter (up to 100kW)
- Modelling and simulation to facilitate design and prototyping
- High Frequency Transformer and Magnetics design
- Knowledge of digital and analogue design concepts
- Designing and optimising gate-drive circuitry
- Managing and coordinating projects
Power Electronics Design Engineer:
Desirable Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Thermal Modelling experience
- Motor Design and control
- High Voltage experience up to 5kV
