Our client is well-established within the Engineering and Manufacturing sector and is looking for a IT Infrastructure Engineer / Network Engineer to oversee the operation, administration, and maintenance of the Company's IT systems and network infrastructure. Strong knowledge of VMWare is required

Network and Server Engineer 
Job Description

• Take ownership to ensure all work and changes to the infrastructure are performed in such a way as to minimise disruption to existing business use.
• Installing, configuring Cisco Catalyst/Meraki switches
• Configuring, patching and maintaining VMWare hosts whilst minimising system downtime
• Maintaining systems in line with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials plus
• Support, install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP and Cisco Switches and Routers
• Patch management, software management and automation using SCCM
• Responsible for implementing, designing, supporting and maintaining the infrastructure for the office applications and services across on-premises and cloud environment

Network and Server Engineer 
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge (CCNA/CCNP) Cisco Catalyst/Meraki networking including VLANs, Subnets, QOS, and Routing Protocols
• Strong VMWare experience
• Strong Windows Server experinece
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, active directory, Microsoft Office, SQL, networking, and computer hardware
