Job Description
- Lead or support product development projects from requirements capture to entry into service.
- Perform and review engineering calculations and simulations to validate design.
- Oversee creation and approval of technical documentation in line with internal, customer, and government standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams including stress, thermal, vibration, and reliability experts.
- Support cost tracking, risk analysis, and design reviews to ensure project targets are met.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure designs meet manufacturing and cost goals.
- Assist in the development and review of qualification test documents and test setups.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in corrective action activities.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within aerospace
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), GD&T, and standard manufacturing processes
- Solid background in project management, including cost and schedule tracking
- Familiarity with DFMEA, risk analysis, and engineering change management
- Strong communicator—confident presenting to customers and leading technical discussions
- Aerospace or Aircraft Systems knowledge preferred
