Job Description

• Manage the mechanical design process, ensuring project deliverables are met on time and to specification.
• Collaborate with clients and internal design teams to integrate mechanical systems into the overall plant design.
• Develop piping layouts, P&IDs, and equipment schedules to support the plant’s functionality.
• Perform mechanical calculations, including hydraulic analysis and FEA.
• Specify materials and coordinate with supply chain partners, ensuring technical compliance and quality standards.
• Participate in HAZOP studies, design risk assessments, and commissioning phases.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience

• A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND, BEng, or MEng) and at least 7+ years of experience in municipal or industrial wastewater projects.
• Expertise in Autodesk mechanical modelling software, data management tools
• Interpreting PFDs/P&IDs.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques, equipment used in water treatment, and mechanical specification development.
• Exceptional communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
