Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description

• Managing design projects from concept through to detailed design, aiming to hand over to manufacturing. Producing concepts, detailed designs using Solidworks
• Working both on legacy designs and NPI designs
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate and optimize the structural integrity, performance, and durability of designs. This will involve applying hand calculations also
• Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals when required
• Understanding the manufacturing processes (Anodising, welding, machining, assembly) and design in line with the process requirements

Mechanical Design Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical Engineering/relevant subject matter
• Proven FEA and hand calculation experience (Solidworks simulation/Ansys is desirable)
• Theoretical understanding of material selection/science
