Are you a qualified or part qualified accountant? Do you have experience of transactional finance? Do you have strong knowledge of P&L and balance sheets? If so, our client, an aerospace manufacturer, is recruiting for a Management Accountant for their site in Nottingham. The role will involve preparing monthly accounts with budget analysis, supporting finance requests, collaborating with non-financial colleagues, and overseeing budgets, forecasts, payroll, and statutory audits.

Job Description

• Leading the month-end process, ensuring timely completion of reports, journal postings, and reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
• Providing monthly financial analysis and management reports, offering insights into variances and delivering ad-hoc financial reports for senior management.
• Partnering with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans, driving performance and aligning with business targets.
• Managing payroll preparation, VAT returns, and corporation tax data, ensuring compliance with HMRC and facilitating timely submissions.
• Maintaining effective communication with auditors, prepared statutory accounts, and promoted teamwork while adhering to company policies and procedures.

 
Management Accountant
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Holder of or working towards a relevant accounting qualification
• Previous experience working in a finance role within manufacturing is essential
• Demonstrable good level of MS Office
• Power BI experience is desirable, but not essential
