They manufacture precision engineered parts for aerospace customers (mainly precision fabrication and machining) and are looking for a General Hand to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience supporting a facilities/maintenance department.

Job Description

• Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface wiping across all general areas.
• Complete general repair and maintenance work throughout the facility.
• Carry out minor maintenance tasks & undertake grounds maintenance
• Adhere to COSHH guidelines and use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Assist with maintenance tasks, particularly cleaning and preventative maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
• Conduct and document regular inspections and routine maintenance activities.
• Operate forklifts when required and hold appropriate certification.
• Drive company vehicles to transport tools, machinery, and equipment as needed.
• Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance of vehicles and gardening equipment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of repair and maintenance activities.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Heavy lifting – 15kg-18kg
• A general handy-man skill set
• Willing and able to drive to a van from time to time (go to the Derby site) Driving License
